Project Sit Rep

🌌 System Overview
Project Sit-Rep is a lightweight, database-free data collection and briefing platform engineered to deliver unthrottled, raw telemetry updates from global scientific arrays straight to your machine. It completely cuts the cord to mainstream corporate news, algorithms, and ad trackers.
Instead of forcing you to scan the news all day, it pulls raw data bytes in the background and consolidates everything into a single, high-density, military-green tactical snapshot [▞].
The Standalone Node Edition is specifically built to bypass cloud reliance. It runs a local Python-based network gateway, giving every laptop, desktop computer, or $35 Raspberry Pi absolute information sovereignty—completely independent of any external servers.

📡 The 5 High-Utility Intel Feeds Monitored
  • 🌋 Seismic Tectonic Activity (USGS API): Captures major earthquake occurrences across the globe, logging exact coordinates, event times, and magnitudes.
  • 🌊 Extreme Climate Disasters (UN / GDACS API): Intercepts international high-level notifications regarding severe flash flooding, active tropical cyclones, and volcanic movements.
  • 🛰️ Ionosphere & Space Weather Safety (NOAA SWPC): Tracks live geomagnetic wind readings and the Planetary K-Index to alert you to radio blackout risks and electrical grid vulnerabilities.
  • ✈️ Airspace Anomaly Indicators (Squawk Logs): Traps active transponder codes for regional aircraft broadcasting Emergency Squawks (7700) or Comm Failures (7600).
  • 🐛 Biosecurity & Agricultural Quarantines: Monitors health network outputs to post immediate containment zone warnings regarding biological risks and livestock vectors, like the South Texas screwworm outbreak.

📦 Distribution Package Contents (PROJECT_SITREP_LOCAL_v1.0.zip)
This self-contained local deployment folder comes 100% plug-and-play out-of-the-box, containing exactly four assets:
  1. ⚙️ sitrep_engine.py (The Python Engine): The core background brain. It leverages Python's built-in production web server to host your data on Port 8080 while managing your local historical archive logs.
  2. 🖥️ index.html (The Tactical Dashboard UI): The front-facing viewer. It automatically builds a native JavaScript world canvas radar screen to accurately convert GPS longitudes and latitudes into flashing map targets.
  3. 🚀 launch.sh (One-Click Linux/macOS Script): Sets up file execution permissions and boots your browser screen side-by-side with your Python script loops with a single double-click.
  4. launch.bat (One-Click Windows Script): A zero-configuration batch file that fires up your native Windows Python runtime and connects your local browser tab instantly.

🛠️ Instant Field Deployment Checklist
To activate your sovereign monitoring node on your local computer right now:
  1. Extract the Folder: Download and unzip PROJECT_SITREP_LOCAL_v1.0.zip directly onto your desktop.
  2. Fire the Launcher: Double-click launch.sh (if you are on Linux/Ubuntu) or launch.bat (if you are on Windows).
  3. Monitor the Grid: Open your web browser and go to: http://localhost:8080. Your 15-minute background cache shield is officially armed, and your interactive tactical radar dashboard is live! Click on any map marker pin to pop open a detailed field intel briefing.
