Base Operating System Platform
  • Ubuntu Linux LTS Distribution (Version 22.04 LTS, 24.04 LTS, or newer variations).
  • Any lightweight, Debian-based Linux environment capable of running standard .deb installer packages natively.
Core Runtime Packages
Your Linux platform must have the following system layer active. If missing, the System Monitor module can assist with deploying them via elevated privileges:

📡 Optional Tactical Hardware Extensions
While the core system, logistics database, scratchpad, and mathematical link calculators run completely out-of-the-box with zero hardware, interfacing with live airwave frequencies requires external physical tools:
  • For Radio Monitoring: A cheap RTL-SDR USB Dongle V3/V4 (to stream raw spectrum data directly into GQRX Waterfall Monitor).
  • For LoRa Mesh Tracking: A physical Meshtastic radio transceiver node (e.g., Heltec V3, T-Beam, or Rover box) plugged in via a standard USB Serial Data cable.
  • For Off-Grid Intelligence: An updated installation of the Ollama Local AI Core engine running a compressed model profile (like phi3:mini or llama3:8b).
